Earlier this summer, an ABC News broadcast of an interview with Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance was supposedly cut off as he was speaking. This led some to speculate that the network was displeased with Vance’s strong performance during the interview, causing ABC to cut the feed and prevent his message from being spread to viewers.
At the time, former Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy was still considering dropping out of the race and endorsing former President Donald Trump and JD Vance. As it was uncertain whether this would happen or not, Vance provided his opinion on the possibility of receiving the endorsement from Kennedy.
Acknowledging that the reports were unverified, Vance said that he would welcome an endorsement from RFK Jr., who departed from his predominantly Democratic lineage. “I don’t know if those reports are true, but I would certainly welcome his endorsement. I grew up in a family. I was raised by my poor grandmother, who didn’t have a high school diploma, but..” Vance said before the broadcast was interrupted. The ABC News anchor said “Looks like we just lost Senator JD Vance there.”
The incident sparked a backlash from users on social media who believe Vance was intentionally booted off the air for his strong performance. Conservatives have widely praised the Ohio senator for his ability to decisively navigate interviews, particularly with hostile left-leaning networks with an agenda to attack the Trump-Vance campaign. The popular X account Proud Elephant said, “JD Vance was doing SO WELL in his interview that ABC News decided to cut him off. They have reached a new level of pathetic…”
Another person offered a lengthy criticism of the network where they said, “God forbid that the All Bull**** Channel News actually be fair and accurate when they’re being sued by Donald Trump for defamation. So… If Merchan decides to postpone the sentencing, because Bragg has now thrown the ball back into the “Court’s” court, so to speak. Or, maybe toss the jury verdict all together based on the illegitimacy of the charges and the Supreme Court ruling on immunity.”
They continued, illustrating the impacts of biased media and the broader political machine. “Wouldn’t that mean, that because of the definition of ACTUAL LAW, and not what the “getting stoopider by the second” portion of the human population “Wants” to believe and because the Mouthpiece Media tells them to hate the Orange Guy. No… That would “mean” that Donald Trump was NEVER convicted. Every News channel would have to “eat crow”. That’ll never happen. Alex Soros OWNS the New York court system. This WILL backfire massively, because it’s all about the FORTUNE & FORCE! There’s no actual rule of law being argued here.”
Another person said, “These people are unbelievable!!! So upsetting they don’t want their viewers brainwashed voters to hear that he made something of himself by working hard and not by being a rich spoiled kid ! God forbid they want the best for Americans and America!!”
