In a viral post on X, Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris falsely blamed her opponent, former President Donald Trump, and pro-life legislation for the tragic death of a young woman in Georgia named Amber Thurman.
“A young mother from Georgia should be alive today, raising her son and pursuing her dream of attending nursing school,” the Veep wrote. “This is exactly what we feared when Roe v. Wade was struck down. In more than 20 states, Trump Abortion Bans prevent doctors from providing basic medical care.”
Thurman’s death, however, followed complications from a legal abortion, contrary to Harris’ glaringly false post. Also, notably, there is no such thing as a “Trump Abortion Ban” since these pro-life restrictions are state-level.
