Le’Veon Bell, a Pittsburgh Steelers legend who went to three Pro Bowls with the team, endorsed former President Donald Trump in a social media post on Friday.
The retired running back uploaded a photo of himself complete with the caption, “on the way to Pittsburgh” ahead of former President Trump’s rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania on Saturday. “Take over the world when I’m on my Donald Trump sh*t,” Bell wrote in an X post, referencing a line from Mac Miller’s “Donald Trump.
Bell will be joining his former teammate, multi-time NFL All-Pro Antonio Brown, for the former president’s rally. Brown — who garnered a reputation as one of the NFL’s more eccentric personalities throughout his career — has become an active supporter of the former president on X.
The Steelers great announced earlier this week that he will be speaking at the Latrobe rally. “We are excited to have you provide remarks in the pre-program ahead of President Donald J. Trump’s president Donald J. Trump’s Rally in Latrobe, PA on Saturday, October 19, 2024,” reads an email reportedly sent to Brown by the Trump Campaign.
Brown further announced that he will be hosting a tailgate party, along with Bell, ahead of the Steelers’ primetime game against the New York Jets on Sunday evening. The event will be geared towards registering voters and is sponsored in part by Turning Point Action.
Former President Trump is also expected to be in attendance for Sunday’s Steelers-Jets matchup. It will mark Trump’s second appearance at a primetime football game in less than a month, as he previously received a warm welcome at the historic Alabama-Georgia game in Tuscaloosa.
